March Favorites

Happy almost April! The weather is finally starting to warm up a bit and I’m feeling more energized and excited about the next couple of months. I didn’t try tooΒ many new products this month (I had a fun little trip to pay for instead!) but here are a few products I couldn’t get enough of:

Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser: I just picked this face wash up the other day and I’m so obsessed with it. It makes my skin feel clean and refreshed but still soft and moisturized. Hallelujah.

Facial Oils: Although I have oily skin, I’ve been into facial oils for a while. For the last few months, I’ve been using this one from Boots Botanics. It’s great budget buy, but once I used it up, I picked up this one from Kiehl’s. I love layering a facial oil underneath my night time moisturizer–I feel like I wake up with a brand new face every morning!

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Duo Glossy Liquid Liner in Bronzed Shimmer: When I couldn’t find my usual NYX liquid liner at Target or Ulta (the horror!), I picked up this one in desperation. Although it’s not the same as my favorite liquid liner, it’s really easy to apply and the applicator makes it really easy to create a winged look.

Unlocked from the LORAC Gold Palette: I did a quick review of this new palette from LORAC right here and I’ve definitely been reaching for it a ton for one particular color: Unlocked. It’s a beautiful champagne/gold color that acts as an amazing highlight!

I hope you are all having a wonderful March! Feel free to share your favorite products from this month with me in the Comments section!

My Go-To Eye Makeup Look

I don’t know if it’s the fact that the weather is warming up or maybe I just don’t have as much time as I used to, but I’ve really been digging a more minimal makeup look these days. I love how “no makeup makeup” looks, but I’ve taken it up just a notch with this look. After slapping on some foundation and concealer, lately I’ve been digging the following look:

Step 1: Apply L’Oreal Infallible 24 Hour Eye Shadow in Amber RushΒ all over the lid. This is my absolute favorite, must-have eye shadow. You need it. NOW.

Step 2: With a blending brush, apply highlight underneath the brow bone. I’ve been loving the shade Unlocked from the LORAC Unzipped Gold palette.

Step 3: For a bit more depth, apply the shade Unleashed from the LORAC Unzipped Gold palette (or any bronzey/coppery shade you happen to have) to the crease. If you’ve got a little more time, place a matte brown/taupe shadow to the outer V of your eye (side note:Β this brush makes it sooo much easier).

Step 3: Pick your liner. I’ve been using this liquid liner lately. It’s not my favorite but it’s pretty easy to work with once you get the hang of the applicator. In the event that you’re feeling super fancy, line the lower water line with a black or brown pencil liner.

Step 4: Curl those lashes and apply your favorite mascara!

BAM–done!

Life Lately

Happy Monday everyone!

Things have been so crazy busy and I haven’t had much time to myself lately. I did manage to sneak out of town last weekend and enjoy some Saint Patrick’s Day festivities. We spent Saturday exploring and then treated ourselves to brunch and the beach on Sunday! Below are a few of my favorite photos from the trip:

Saint Patrick’s Day Picks

Saint Patrick’s Day has always had a special place in my heart. There’s just something about a holiday that revolves around fashion and beer that speaks to me.

However, as someone who isn’t the biggest fan of wearing color, I’ve always struggled to incorporate green attire into my wardrobe on that hallowed day. With that in mind, I’ve complied a few green options that are cute enough to take you from March 17 and beyond.

Cheers!

What I’m Loving: Druzy Stone Jewelry

It’s no secret that I’m addicted to jewelry. If I’m not wearing my usual stack of bracelets, rings and earrings, I just don’t feel like myself. Lately druzy stone pieces seem to be everywhere and I’m totally obsessed! Below are a few of the pieces I’m loving.
