Although rompers have been around for a while, I never fully embraced the trend until recently. I’m a huge fan of pieces you can just throw on quickly and run out the door, so it’s no surprise that I’ve finally taken to wearing rompers. Below are a few of the rompers I’ve been eyeing lately. Keep in mind that you may have to size up in order to achieve that effortless, laid back vibe…or if you’re tall like I am!
I recently went to Ulta to exchange a concealer and obviously I couldn’t leave without picking up a couple other items. Apparently I’ve got something to hide because all I bought on this particular trip was concealers.
I’m obsessed with both the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer and the NYX HD Photo Concealer so those were easy picks. I’ve been wanting to try the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer and I figured, no time like the present, right?

Ever since my last birthday (the big 2-7), I’ve made an effort to step up my skin care game. I’m not getting any younger and I’m willing to put in a little extra work to keep my skin looking as fresh as possible. And, based on the fact that I get told I don’t look as old as I am at least once a week, I’d say it’s working!
I’ve been using the following products nightly and my skin has been in tip top shape lately. Keep in mind that this is what works for me–feel free to leave any tips or suggestions in the Comments section!
Step 1: Take it off–your makeup, that is! I’m currently using Bioderma, but there are plenty of similar drugstore products out there. I focus mostly on my eye makeup and I find that this cleansing water does a great job of removing any mascara or liquid liner.
Step 3: Time to tone. I’ve been using the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Triple-Action Toner for quite a while and I find that it leaves my skin feeling extra clean and fights blemishes.
Step 4: Oil up! I’m a huge fan of facial oils so this is definitely my favorite step. I’m currently using Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate but I’ve also used tarte’s Maracuja Oil and Boots Botanics’ Organic Facial Oil. They’re all great in my opinion!
Step 5: Moisturize. If there’s one skin care item I don’t mind splurging on every now and then, it’s moisturizers. My current eye cream is this one by Ahava. For night cream, I alternate between Philosophy’s Hope in a Jar Night and L’Oreal’s Youth Code Texture Perfector Day/Night Cream
Phew–that seems like a lot of work when I type it all out but it’s a process I’ve really come to enjoy. Please feel free to share any of your favorite skin care products with me!
I don’t know if it’s the pollen going to my head or the fact that festival season is upon us, but lately I’ve been allllll about finding a fringe crossbody bag.
I’ve been eyeing the Finn crossbody from Rebecca Minkoff for a while now and while it’s gorgeous, I can’t quite bring myself to drop the cash on such a trendy item.
As I was cruising Target’s website looking for a fringey alternative, I stumbled across a great dupe of my coveted bag.
Available in black and cognac, the Target version is strikingly similar to the more expensive Minkoff. While the strap isn’t removable and, okay, maybe the fringe isn’t as awesomely fringey as the Finn, I think it’s a great alternative for those of us wanting to experiment a little bit.
Which one do you prefer?
Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend–mine was full of pollen, baseball, and forcing myself to wear color despite my natural tendencies to wear black, white and any other neutral you can possibly think of.
On the subject of clothes, there’s one fashion related thing I’ve been loving: The Front Tuck. I’ve done this look on-and-off lately, but have really taken it up a notch after spotting the look on Unfancy, a minimalist fashion blog. While this post shows off a front and center tuck, I prefer to tuck my tops in a little more off to the right. It’s a bit easier for me to pull off, but you do you!
Below are a few front tuck pics to inspire your next outfit:
