February Favorites

Wooooo. I feel like I’ve had this post ready to go for quite some time but haven’t had a second to sit down and upload it. However, I managed to find a few moments in this already busy month of March to share my favorite products from February.

Read on to see what I was loving and don’t forget to share your favorite products with me in the Comments section!

1. L’Oreal Brow Stylist Designer: I’ll be honest, I’ve got naturally full brows so I never thought I needed to do much with them. However, this product is a game changer for me. It’s perfect for filling in and giving shape to your brows and it’s so much more affordable than similar brow products on the market. It took me a while to find it in stock so if you happen to see it while you’re out—BUY IT.

2. ULTA Contour Kit: I’ve talked about this contour kit from Ulta quite a bit on this blog (see a full review here) and I’m still loving it. Lately I’ve been doing a barely there eye makeup look using the matte brown shades from this palette.

3. Revlon Ultra HD Lip Lacquer in Smoky Topaz: When I bought this lip gloss it was quite what I wanted. However, it’s really grown on me. It’s a lovely pinky nude color that works well with many looks. I love Revlon glosses and have been using this one constantly!

4. Aerie Racerback Boho Bralette: When it comes to fashion, comfort is key. This bralette from Aerie is as comfortable as it gets! They come in lots of colors and are so lacy and beautiful. They’re a feminine, sexy option when you want to be comfy but still feel like you’ve got your you-know-what together.

February Favorites

Well we’re not quite done with February yet, but there are a few products I was loving this month that I want to share with all of you!

e.l.f. Studio High Definition Translucent Powder: I was recently on the hunt for a new powder and picked this one up after hearing good reviews about it. It’s very finely milled and it controls shine for most of the day. The only thing I don’t like about this powder is the packaging–it’s extremely messy and frustrating! I’m willing to put up with it though because the product is so great!

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer: I used to think I was a cream concealer kinda gal but this liquid concealer from NYX may have converted me. It has great coverage, lasts all day, and is so affordable!

Mario Badescu Glycolic Foaming Cleanser: I’ve used this face wash for a couple months and I really like it. It’s not meant for everyday use so if you have sensitive skin, be careful at first.  I use it every other day and I think it has really helped my skin stay clear.

Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in Dust of Bronze: Nail polish is one of my favorite things and this color is awesome. It’s a neutral that’s been kicked up a notch and I can’t get enough of it. I might even be wearing it as I type this sentence.

Secret Agent Beauty Lip Gloss in Foreign Intelligence Flirt: This little gloss was in my Birchbox a while ago and I have been using the heck out of it this month. It’s a great “your lips but better” shade and the shine and color last for quite a while.

Tell me what products you’ve been loving lately so I can try them too!

February Birchbox

This month, in honor of awards season, Birchbox partnered with Us Weekly to reveal all kinds of red carpet secrets. As someone who cares a lot more about watching the red carpet than the actual awards shows, I’m very excited about this. I can’t wait to see what this partnership has in store for the month of February!

Here’s what I got in my Birchbox:

Paula’s Choice RESIST Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum: This is an anti-aging serum that claims to tighten pores, fight lines and wrinkles, and soothe skin. I’m not sure I’ll be able to see those results from just one sample, but it can’t hurt!

SARAHPOTEMPA The HALF-UP: This spongey little tool is used to create different hairstyles like a top knot or low bun. While I’m not one to wear my hair up a lot, this will probably come in handy over the summer while at the beach or pool.

W3LL PEOPLE Universalist Multi-Use Color Stick in Dusty Rose: This beautiful rosy pink makeup stick is multi-purpose. You can use it on your eyes, lips, and cheeks–who doesn’t love that? It’s definitely the perfect color for spring and I’m so excited to use it!

Whish Three Whishes Body Butter: This body butter by Whish is packed with antioxidants to soften and smooth skin. It smells great and is the perfect way to treat skin during the cold winter months.

Harney & Sons Fine Teas in Paris and White Vanilla Grapefruit: I’ve definitely turned into a tea junkie so I was very excited to see this in my Birchbox. The Paris flavor is a fruity black tea while the White Vanilla Grapefruit flavor is a white tea.
